Investment Manager | Active Portfolio | High‑Growth Learning Environment
Our client is a rapidly expanding global investment platform backed by leading private equity and venture capital investors. With a growing portfolio of real assets and alternative investment vehicles, the business is scaling quickly and now seeks a Fund Accountant who wants to work at the heart of a high‑growth, deal‑driven environment.
This role sits close to the investment and portfolio teams, offering exposure to live transactions, capital activity, asset performance, and investor reporting across a suite of property‑backed and alternative funds. It’s an ideal step for someone who wants to move beyond traditional fund operations and build a career inside a fast‑moving investment manager where there is a lot to learn, a lot to build, and genuine room to grow.
What You’ll Work On
- Managing day‑to‑day fund operations while partnering with investment managers, asset teams, and external stakeholders across the capital stack.
- Preparing NAVs, portfolio valuations, and financial statements that directly inform investor updates, capital calls, distributions, and performance insights.
- Supporting transaction activity, including onboarding new assets, reviewing financial inputs, and ensuring accurate integration into fund and deal models.
- Coordinating year‑end audits and contributing to governance processes, including board and investor meetings.
- Preparing tax and ATO returns and maintaining relationships with tax advisers and regulatory bodies.
- Acting as a key contact for investors, custodians, and internal deal teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth fund operations.
What You Bring
- CPA qualified or progressing toward completion.
- Experience in fund accounting, property accounting, or alternative investments, with a desire to move closer to PE/VC‑style investment activity.
- Curiosity, commercial thinking, and a willingness to understand how capital, assets, and investors interact.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and appetite for broad responsibility in a business that is scaling fast.
