The Opportunity
As a Trust Fund Accountant, you will take ownership of end‑to‑end accounting and reporting for a portfolio of real asset funds. You’ll work closely with the investment, operations, and asset management teams to ensure accurate financial outcomes, strong governance, and timely delivery of all trust‑level obligations. This role suits someone who enjoys both the technical detail and the commercial context behind the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real asset funds and trusts
- Complete NAV calculations, unit pricing, distributions, and tax‑related accounting
- Maintain the general ledger, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support asset‑level accounting including valuations, capital expenditure, and cashflow analysis
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, custodians, and service providers
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Ensure compliance with trust deeds, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across fund accounting workflows
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CA/CPA preferred or in progress)
- Experience in fund accounting, trust accounting, or financial reporting within property, infrastructure, private equity, or similar asset classes
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, trust structures, and financial controls
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Confident communicator who enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business
