The Company

Our client is a global investment manager with a diverse portfolio spanning traditional and alternative asset classes. Their continued growth has created an opportunity for a junior accountant to join the internal fund accounting team. This is an exceptional pathway for someone who wants to build deep expertise in how investment funds operate, contribute directly to portfolio outcomes, and grow into a senior role within a high‑performing buy‑side environment.

The Role
Sitting within the core investment operations and fund accounting function, this role offers broad exposure to the full lifecycle of managing funds. You’ll work closely with portfolio managers, investment operations, and senior finance leaders to ensure accurate valuation, reporting and oversight of the firm’s investment vehicles. It’s a hands‑on role designed for someone who wants to learn how funds truly work from the inside.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily fund accounting activities, ensuring accurate reflection of portfolio activity and positions
  • Assist with NAV calculations, unit pricing and monthly reconciliations across internal systems and external data sources
  • Monitor trade activity, settlements and corporate actions, ensuring timely and accurate capture for portfolio managers
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting, regulatory submissions, investor reporting and board materials
  • Maintain high‑quality portfolio and fund data to support investment decision‑making
  • Work with senior management on broader operational initiatives, including process improvements, compliance matters and internal projects
This role provides genuine exposure to investment products, portfolio activity and the commercial drivers behind fund performance.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Graduate or up to 2 years’ experience in accounting or financial operations
  • Interest in pursuing CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience in fund accounting or investment operations is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A proactive, curious mindset and genuine interest in financial markets and investment management
