Fund Operations & Fund Accounting Associate – Growing Fund Manager

This fast‑growing fund manager operates across a diverse range of investment strategies. You’ll work closely with portfolio managers and senior finance leaders, gaining hands‑on experience across the investment lifecycle and contributing to the accuracy, insight and control that underpin high‑performing funds.

The Opportunity As a Fund Operations & Fund Accounting Associate, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate, timely and well‑controlled operation of the firm’s investment vehicles. You’ll take ownership of NAV oversight, reconciliations, reporting and day‑to‑day operational processes, while partnering with the investment team to provide insights and support decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio analytics — Analyse daily portfolio movements, exposures and factor drivers to identify trends, anomalies and performance contributors
• NAV variance analysis — Review NAV movements, investigate valuation changes and reconcile discrepancies to underlying portfolio activity
• Pricing & valuation checks — Validate pricing sources, challenge unusual price movements and assess valuation methodologies across asset classes
• Performance & attribution — Support attribution analysis, benchmark comparisons and investment insights for PMs and senior stakeholders
• Cash flow modelling — Monitor liquidity, forecast cash requirements and analyse capital activity across funds
• Risk & exposure monitoring — Review daily exposures, concentration limits and counterparty positions, escalating breaches or irregularities
• Data integrity oversight — Ensure accuracy of market data, security master records, pricing feeds and reference data across systems
• Trade lifecycle analysis — Review trade capture, settlement exceptions and corporate action impacts, ensuring alignment with portfolio intent
• Regulatory reporting support — Assist with analytical inputs for regulatory filings, compliance monitoring and internal control testing
• Process optimisation — Identify inefficiencies, analyse root causes and contribute to automation and workflow enhancements
• Audit & financial analysis — Prepare analytical schedules, reconcile financial data and support year‑end audit queries
• Cross‑functional insights — Provide analytical support to investment, risk and finance teams to enhance decision‑making and operational accuracy

About You

• 4-5 experience in fund accounting or fund operations (fund manager or administrator)
• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in process improvement
• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
• A confident communicator who enjoys working cross‑functionally
