We are seeking an experienced Investment Operations Manager to join a dynamic and growing funds management business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building efficient processes, managing operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across investment operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee daily investment operations including trade settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, and cash management.
  • Manage relationships with custodians, administrators, brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Implement and enhance operational controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
  • Oversee capital call and distribution processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with fund requirements.
  • Drive process automation and system improvements to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Partner with technology teams to identify, test, and implement automation solutions across middle and back-office functions.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to operations staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting for senior management and support ad-hoc project work as required.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong background in investment operations, middle/back-office, or fund administration.
  • Solid understanding of financial products including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives
  • Proven ability to manage external vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives (e.g., workflow tools, RPA, system upgrades).
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (professional designation such as CA, CFA, or CPA advantageous).
